I haven't checked my e-mails for a few days and was catching up on this discussion about lowering his car. The thing I like about this forum is that you can ask just about anything you want to know about your coupe and get input from fellow owners that may have had similar experiences. And the best thing is that with each personallity and demographic, the opinions vary giving you more than just a default answer to each question. Then you can choose whatever YOU decide is best for your situation knowing you have ideas that aren't neccessarily geared toward selling the procuct of the day. No offense you all the stock owners, I truly do appreciate seeing a cherry coupe regardless. Here's a picture of my 84' SEC and I'll be happy to take on ANY stock coupe, off the line...rolling start... freeway...road track...circle track...heck, even reverse if you want! Personally, I think 99.9% of stock vehicles can be improved on (if you want to increase performance) so if Daimler is hiring, where do I sign up. ( Just kidding Daimler! :) Oh, in case you are wondering, they are 17x13 w/ 335x35's in the back and 17x10 w/ 295x40 in the front. the suspension is just tokico coils and bilstein shocks. So far I haven't had any complaints from passengers about the way it rides.

Hey, maybe you can get a job as an automotive engineer for Daimler? This blog get's pretty ridiculous at times. Anybody who understands engineering realizes that these levels of changes greatly alters the geometry and physical reaction of the vehicle.

Hello Ramon. I run 18’s all the way around. 8” in front,

9” rears. Koni adjustables, H&R’s. The car rides way

better than stock. (Less harsh than the ’94 E500). Better

center of gravity, better cornering, no adverse affect or

wear on the tires. No rubbing, no rolling the fenders. I

didn’t even do the 4 wheel alignment. Looks better too.

These cars were not engineered ‘perfectly’, especially

performance-wise, otherwise there would never have been

an AMG, or the countless other tuning shops in Germany.
