[W126 Coupe] lowering

My AMG cars all have AMG springs/shocks and 17" wheels. They ride, handle, and look great.

I have done a bunch with H&R and Bilsteins, also on 17", and same great result. Firm, but not harsh.

18" I agree the ride really starts to deteriorate unless you have glass-smooth roads.

Just curious, how many of you 'naysayers' have done this, tried, this, or driven in one like this? Mine has been lowered with H&R springs, 18" wheels for over 10 years and I love the ride. So much I just did the same to the wife's SEL, except that has 16" wheels on it. My SEL is next...

To each his own I guess.

lowering the car: the ride will be hard and twitchy ,the steering
geometry and suspension will be stressed , the shocks will not be in a
optimum operating height .Even a simple addition of rim spacers will
effect steering feel & feedback .
