[W126 Coupe] Inside Door Opener Handle

Henry,
Are you talking about that long armrest that bolts to the door, or the metal
latch you use to open the door itself?
In either case, to get to that stuff, taking the door panel off is probably
needed. Just went through this recently. Lots of parts to take off - there
are two chrome plates on both ends of the top, unscrew them, don't lose the
tiny screws. Another chrome surround towards the end of the door with 2
screws. Unscrew the door panel at the bottom - 3 screws I think. Pull out
the light at the bottom underneath of the door and unplug it. Then you need
to take the door switch assembly parts off and out, a clip and screw are
involved and plastic cover hiding most of this. Then there are 3 bolts
holding the armrest in place, and it slides at the far end of the door
too. I think after all of this is out/off you can then finally lift the
door panel up and off the door - need to make sure all the tabs are
disengaged so you don't break anything.
I think I got all the steps, going from memory here!
