[W126 Coupe] Inside Door Opener Handle

The Driver Side Inside Door Opener Handle on my wife's 1986 560SEC has
become very loose and seems to be hanging down from the top. The bottom
seems to be attached OK.

I would like to fix it but don't know how to remove the plastic panel to see
what is going on inside. Any comments?
