[W126 Coupe] Reverse light

Does someone know how to adjust the reverse light switch? I'm in the same
boat with weird back-up-light timing and could use the info.

Does anyone know how to adjust the back up light on an '82 380 SEC?  I had
the trans rebuilt a couple years ago and had not noticed that the lights
come on halfway between reverse and neutral.  I am not sure if the switch is
in the shifter console or at the trans.  My books don't show anything on
this matter.
