[W126 Coupe] Looking for a short in the A/C circuit.

Well I've tugged, pulled, and pried, but that knee bolster doesn't
want to come off! There has to be something else holding it. This
looks like a airbox of some sort with venting at about knee level and
to the door. But I am seeing only the front, back, and rear portions,
no top of the airbox. Could there be a attaching point under the glove
box (from the top)? How do you remove the kick panel on the right?

One other comment. That knee bolster wants to drop a bit on the right
side so that that the air delivery outlet can move free of the heater
box to the left. So, if at all possible lower the right side a bit
first.
