For the Fall gathering of the Gulf Coast Coupes, we're looking at
Saturday, Oct. 24 at the Sarasota Classic Car Museum which is on the
corner of University Parkway and U.S. 41 (Tamiami Trail) and is across
the street from the famous Ringling Museum and Ca 'd Zan, John and
Mabel Ringling's famous house on Sarasota Bay. The car museum has
several of their '20s era cars. We'll get a discounted admission price
of $6.50 per person. We could even do a lunch there if we have people
confirming attendance. They can provide box lunches, soft drinks and
even a cash bar if we'd like. I'm not sure what their minimum number
of people is though. I'll try to find out when I volunteer there on
Friday. There are plenty of motels close by for out of towners who
want to make a weekend of it. All we need is a list of folks who will
attend.
