[W126 Coupe] Anti Freeze Change Dilemma

Mike,

I wouldn't bother, honestly. I know someone who did this and it turned into quite a nightmare. I'd simply drain the radiator, refill with water, run the car for a bit, then drain it again and refill with 50/50. If you really want to go nuts, you can do the acid flush, but I've also heard cautions on doing that as it could loosen things and clog the system.

Subject: [W126 Coupe] Anti Freeze Change Dilemma

I suspect its been 4 or 5 years or longer since the antifreeze has been change on my 1991 SEC. I have the car up on ramps, new MB antifreeze ready to add. My dilemma is I can't get the engine block drain plugs loose to properly drain all the fluid. If I'm reading the Service Manual correctly the location of the plugs correspond to a 6mm allen socket plug. I have the plugs drenched with liquid wrench. Any suggestion how to get these buggers out?
Thanks Mike
