[W126 Coupe] discussion on spark plugs

I'm just an observer of all this but I think that I just witnessed a lube job given which reminds me, I think it's time to take my car in for one.

    on you tube awhile back i saw this video about finding a miss in the electrical system and it had to do with the spark plug wires/distributor cap.

    this guy states he is a 30 yr plus mechanic...anyhow he said he never buys plugs anymore and he demonstrated how and why.

    he takes his old plug and with a hand held propane torch fires the plug until the tip turns white hot or red hot.  this takes a little while.

    and he states now the plug is ready to use over and over and over
