I know that Magnaflow has the down pipe/ converter(s) as a welded assembly in their catalog.

I've done some manufacturing consulting work for them and have watched them being manufactured in their factory here in Southern California.
Magnaflow makes many converter assemblies for other brands as well.

I recently added some clear taillight lens and noticed after a rain or car wash the water intrusion in the trunk. Has anyone else who has changed the rear taillights had this problem?  Perhaps I didn't tighten nuts enough to seal the rubber seal?   Or is the seal not good?   I hate to tighten more than I did and break the bolts or lens.  TIA.   Also anyone know of a good supplier for the cat converter?   Do you guys buy these from Mercedes or an aftermarket co? TIA  1983 Euro 500sec.
