Question: searching archives now along with CD and other forums... I have
taken the shifter apart in hopes of replacing all bushings. I have the fiber
optic light source and need some help both locating parts and with removing
part. I have found boot replacement and bushing replacement but can't find
the plastic window as mine is needing to replaced(two prong) Does anyone
know where I can locate or do I need to buy the entire assembly to get this
piece. Also once you pull the e-clip to remove right side bushing and
washers, then remove the spring... what is best way to remove the cross
pin???

I have also successfully removed all the two part
polyester/polyurethane from center console maple burlwood and in doing so
sacrificed the black plastic trim that goes around the shifter w126 683 01
57. Any suggestions on where to locate. can't find at pparts and have not
tried dealer yet wanted to see what you guys said first.

(sorry for long post if I have violated the forum rules - I am scrambling to
read all rules on all new forums - on to do list)
