[W126 Coupe] Emission Problems

Hi Guy's
Maybe someone can give me some ideas or direction that I could do before taken into shop. or maybe shop w/emission machine like I did w/my other one. I'm on disability and off my feet since Mar 31st. because of broken ankles and the dollars have to count on what I'm doing, so if their anything I can do to save a few bucks would help.
Here are the test results from last year.


              CAR           STD.
2007   HC ...0.47     1.60         PASS
          CO...2.47     15.00        PASS
         NOX..1.69       2.50        PASS


2009  HC...4.64        1.60        FAIL
         CO.55.03      15.00        FAIL
       NOX...1.58        2.50       PASS
CAN THIS BE CAUSED BY ME FOOLING AROUND W/FUEL DIST. AND IS IT REVERSIBLE AT THE SHOP W/JUST THE MACHINE ? ANY HELP WELCOME.
