[W126 Coupe] MBCOUPES Digest, Vol 64, Issue 6

Hi, this is an update for my 87' 560SEL going suddenly dead a couple of weeks ago.  Axel, I believe advised cking the electrical current to/from the fuel pump relay.  Because the starter would crank all day and almost start when starter fluid sprayed in the fuel distributer I ended up buying fuel pumps that had been a few years since replaced.

Anyway the end result surprised everyone including my MB mechanic buddy.  He had never seen it in 25 yrs career.  It took him 3 hrs because the positive battery connection was on losely and intermittently no power was reaching the pumps. But it was not lose enough to bother the starter.......I'm trying to decide now if I want to return the pumps I bought (Jonothan).

Several years ago several of us bought door sills that were lit up with
he word Mercedes Benz.
Does any one have a line on getting that item currently?
