All , thanks! The issure turned out to b a faulty fd. Once I switched it out. The hesitation went away. I syill have a slightly rough idle that I wll continue to tack down

You don't say if there is a rough idle so presumably it's smooth until you hit the accelerator. Try clearing the throttle body and plate of any carbon build up as it may be sticking. Check the plate by disconnecting the linkage and moving by hand. If you feel it sticking from closed as you open, then it needs a cleaning. I dove in late on this thread so you may well have another troubleshooting route that needs to be followed.

The mystery continues here though, today I replaced the plug wires and the coil but not not see any improvement in the hesitation. I also switched the little relay thing next to the fuse box with the one in my 560sel but that also did not make a difference.
I'll try switching the fuel distributor over with the one i pulled from the junk to see what's next. Any additional thoughts would be appreciated.
