As the experts have opined, cleaning is probably all that is needed. To
clean, pull the sensor out of the caliper assembly and blow them off with
compressed air. The notched piece (name?) that the sensors read get gunked
up too. I'd clean the notched piece (compressed air), then see if that fixes
it, THEN go play with cleaning, then replacing the sensors.

Hi guys and gals,
I have a '92 300SD and I get an intermittent ABS warning light from time
to time, and I was thinking of replacing the ABS sensors on the wheels. I
saw some on ebay, but they were for a 94 S class or 140 body style. My
question is, will these fit on my 92? Are they basically the same sensors?
My back brakes squeak when I am coming to a stop, and I want to replace the
sensors at the same time I replace the brakes. Any ideas?
Sincerely,
John C. Conley
