[W126 Coupe] Question on electic rear shade

A great option but at this age, many have stopped working... 

Mine had a broken nylon rope as per below but I have come across many with failed retractor springs. When these go there is not much that can be done apart from replacement with a 2nd hand blind.

One of those options you have to have but will rarely use..
