[W126 Coupe] Starter Problem

Bendix is a good thought but once you've gone to ALL the trouble of getting
that upper bolt out of the starter, I'd be VERY inclined to put a new
starter in there as a preemptive move.

It took a 24" 1/2" extension, a 12" 1/2" extension, a very good (name brand)
10mm 1/2" drive Allen and a 450 ft/lb air gun to convince my '87 560SEL
%^&*() upper bolt to come out. Yours, hopefully, will come out with much
less torque, but....

Later,
Mike R
