[W126 Coupe] Off topic

Hi everyone,

On my 140 series, I have what I believe is a 2 day evaporator leak and I also have a problem with the center vents not opening. I don't get hot or cold air out of the center vents.  What do I need to do to make the center vents open and will cryo seal seal the leak when it is that fast???  I have heard the horror stories of the evaporator replacement, and just wonder if it is something I might be able to attempt?

Hi Ronny,

As it turns out there are no crush washers between and of the transmission cooler lines. These are a male metal ball to the female bolt fitting.  So, just try snugging the fittings using two wrenches.  It's the hydraulic connection to the rubber hose if leaking at the fitting that will require you replace the hose.  I have both new hoses here that I can photo if you need to see how they are made up.
Regards,
Dick
