[W126 Coupe] Outside airtemp gauge

My outside tempratue gauge is counting up and down on its own.
A nice 65F day, and it is indicating 100-119F. Then at times opposite. Never 
correct.
I have replaced the convenience control module previously (1 year ago due to 
sunroof issue)
Not sure if this is controlled by that unit.
Up until this spring it was just fine.
Help.
