[W126 Coupe] Hard shocks from R/suspension

Hi Folks

    Havent driven the SEC much and after a three month rest,decided to go 
for a Sunday drive,fuel gauge was asleep for the first 1/2 hr then decided 
to work intermitantly,what was more of a concern was the hard shocks from 
the rear suspension over minor bumpy road surfaces.From what I have read 
over the years on this site ,it sounds like the accumulators they have only 
done 50,000 miles but it may be an age related deteriation.Any thoughts 
would be most appreciared.
