The fan on my 560 sec it's a 87 stays on high only cold but noisy the temp
control can be lowered and no change the fan switches are on high in every
setting can this switch be the problem or should I look elsewhere? One other
thing does anyone have the wood dash components available? Need the one for
over the steering wheel that would be the far left side for this car guys.
Any help would be great. Thanks Jim

Hey Jim. Here are a couple of numbers:

419-6163 (office) 514-9132 (cell)

Also, I have the brake light. It is out of an '89 and it only had

65k miles when I removed it. Come check it out one day.

Off Topic Because of my phone not holding enough background numbers I lost
the phone number to a member of this forum that called me, he lives in
Jacksonville Florida if he could please call me back that would be great.
904-598-9080 he is putting his red W126 back together. On another note I
need to replace that crossover pipe on the exhaust of my W126 does anyone
have one? I think they call it an accordion pipe? Another item is the rear
window brake light, need one of those mine fell apart. Any help would be
appreciated. Jim

Get a can of very fine ground pepper and pour the can in to radiator, run
the engine for twenty minutes with the heat on and then twenty minutes
with the a/c on. Pepper will not hurt anything, if it does not work no
harm done Pepper does not dissolve...ever.

keep cruisin

Mike,

Not physically able to do the DIY projects these days. I have tried the
Bar's Stop Leak for the evaporator, but it still leaks out in less than 3
days. I wanted to try the cryo seal, but I don't know of any shops around
Chicago that use it, so I am hoping I can get a mechanic to tackle it
without reaming me in the process. I would be willing to pay a grand for
the labor. I am going to get the parts this weekend. Are there motors or
what that open the center vents or gears?

My first thought is that is going to be a very big labor bill from the
mechanic. The evaporator replacement is the huge job on pretty much any MB,
more hours than needed to replace the engine!! Have you thought about a DIY
on the evap? All the rest of the dash items would be done while the evap is
being R&R'd and that would make them DIY also. Nothing terribly hard to do
it, just LOTS of steps to get it done.

Later,

Hi guys and gals,

I think I am going to have to replace my abs sensors on my 140 diesel.
I had them cleaned and blown out with compressed air and I still get an
intermittent abs light. I am also going to try to have my evaporator
replaced and while I am in there, I want to know if I should get the bulb
for my fuel gauge replaced, and my center vents don't open when I roll the
dials to open them. The little lights inside the roller dials don't light up
either. Any ideas on what I need to get before I give the car to the
mechanic?

I bought mine at Importvision. I have both, clears on my SEC, clear/red on
my wife's SEL, and smoked on my SEL.

I see on ebay now currently two different styles of the clear lens tail
lights. One with all clear accross and another with red lens and clear on
the outside. Anyone reading this have experiance with either of these?
