[W126 Coupe] Climate control quit working

Dan,
One of the risk areas with the Automatic Climate Control (ACC) is that the auxiliary water pump (the one that pumps engine coolant throught the heater core under the dash) grounds throut the unit. If the aux water pump shorts, it may fry the ACC in the process.
You can get a reconditioned ACC from George Murphy (MBCA Technical Director) in Tennessee:

Best check the aux water pump before you put the new ACC in.
