    I have heard a number of times on this site and benzworld.org about the 'hydraulic lifter compensator' causing this ticking sound. Use the search engine on this site and the other using those 3 words to find possible remedies. I'm thinking about the use of an oil additive to help clean out debri and the use of synthetic oil with cleaning properties. JALEX

    I have a 88 560 SEC, with a bit of "clicking" from left side of the engine, probably one of the lifters!, are there any way to adjust or does i need to replace it ( big job ), if anyone have a solution/ work around, please tell me about what to do. Thanks in advance
