[W126 Coupe] Speedometer Interchangabilty

Hi Folks

    I need to change the my speedometer from MPH ( UK import to Hong Kong)to 
KPH I could get the dial recalibrated but the distance recoder would still 
be in Miles.
    Question is are all 126 versions the same or is the 560 one unique to 
that model,here in Western Australia the 420 SEL was probably the most 
popular of all the 126 variants ,but 380 SEL's would be dismantled in 
greater numbers due to age.
