[W126 Coupe] 380 / 500 differences

Hi

Thanks, I just got back from the dealer/workshop.   There I looked at
a 500 SEC from 1985.
It is probably the last of the 1st series (production date 9/1985).
I am looking to get this
one.  It has only 180K Kilometers on it (mine has 344K).   The chasis
is very clean as well
as the interior.  It is was brought in for sale by an old lady who
can't drive any longer.

I only know about the EURO versions of the SEC and know that the 380
went as long here
as the 500 (both introduced in 1981/2--which was my problem with the
insurance -- what to
with with a 500 that was built two years before they were officially
sold there) and as you
say was replaced by the 420.
