[W126 Coupe] paint job

Hi john,

Plan A. Never been painted before. Basic repaint with the paint guys doing
all the prep..2k. (They take off stuff and mask most) Looks good for 5-10
years.

Plan B. If you remove all cladding, chrome, lamp assemblies, mirrors,
bumpers etc and ask for a glass smooth deep shine it can go much higher.
Look to shoot the grill and avoid chrome, and so on. It's an easy 3+k where
they sand in between clear coats until you get the depth with no blemishes
of any kind. The prep and final clear coat cost the money. You need to
find someone who is known for his painting talent at a car show to get
someone good.

If your SEC is a keeper as in you plan on having it in another 10+ years,
I'd follow with plan B.
