Get yourself the last few issues of Old Cars Price Guide and plot a graph of the value trend of your car.?? Copy the listing and hopefully you have photos of the condition of the car before it sank.? At worse, get a professional to provide a valuation of the vehicle (which may cost you a hundred bucks or so).? I provided one to my friend for his 66 Plymouth and his adjuster went form $250 to $3,000 with the one letter.

I may be interested. I lost mine early this morning in a retention  
pond. The car sank completely under water, so I'm sure the insurance  
company will total it. this car had 160,000 on it and was in nice  
shape. The only issue with it was the blower motor regulator. What's  
really bad is that it has 3 pc. AMG wheels. I still have the original  
15" wheels but no tires mounted on them or I might be able to switch  
them out. I feel that I'll probably get lowballed by the adjuster and  
need advice on how to deal with them.
