Jay,
Sorry to hear about your car! My goodness. I wish I could help you with the adjuster, but the last time I dealt with an adjuster was when I had a rental car that someone plowed into in FL. The other guy (who received a ticket and declared at fault by the police) had Progressive Car Insurance. They are notorious for not paying. They would only pay half the cost of the repair stating that their guy was not at fault, even though the cops said he was. Hopefully you don't have Progressive. My company (USAA) was great! Regardless of what they do with the car, insist that you take the wheels. If they total it, I wouldn't think that would be a problem. I will send you pictures of the car tomorrow. My wheels are a more sporty upgrade wheel rather than the original, but not AMG.

I may be interested. I lost mine early this morning in a retention pond. The car sank completely under water, so I'm sure the insurance company will total it. this car had 160,000 on it and was in nice shape. The only issue with it was the blower motor regulator. What's really bad is that it has 3 pc. AMG wheels. I still have the original 15" wheels but no tires mounted on them or I might be able to switch them out. I feel that I'll probably get lowballed by the adjuster and need advice on how to deal with them.
