Thanks Markus, makes sense...

I may be able to get some here in the UK as H&R tell me I have to buy the front & rears separately but are available.

Mike - If you have lowering springs to suit, please do let me know.

Many Thanks & Regards

Yes Jay, they are different. With SLS, you don't need as much spring since the accumulators/SLS does part of the shocking. With the non-SLS, you only have conventional rear shocks, so the springs have to be 'stronger', maybe stiffer to handle the suspension differences. Not sure if that also translates to length differences, or just spring rate differences, but there are indeed differences. You may want to contact Mike Ramay at mramay at att.biz. I believe he needs to non-SLS and you need the SLS. Maybe you two can work out some sort of exchange of the rear springs!

Hi All,

I need to know what the difference is between rear springs for SLS and non SLS?

I cant get SLS lowering springs in the UK... No One stocks them. H&R Europe say they are discontinued.

However they seem to be available in the states from various online retailers.

I already have a set of springs for non SLS - will these work? if not why not?

If I need SLS springs then I have to get them from the USA..

The price is not particularly high, however shipping and import duties will make it very expensive for me.

So before I do buy from across the pond, I need to know if I actually need them?!

Thanks

Jay

p.s If anyone has any springs for SLS for sale, please let me know asap - Ideally AMG.
