[W126 Coupe] question about throttle position switch help anyone/everyone

Gary,

You need to check the closed position of the throttle plate in the throttle
body then attach the tps and test. You may have a bad wiring harness to the
tps as well. If the car was starting then stopping abruptly it could well
be the throttle plate and body have a build up of carbon. This will prevent
the throttle plate from closing and your tps will never read closed circuit
at idle as it should.
