I’m definitely interested in the steering pressure regulator, thanks. The 560 is about 82psi closed pressure and the E55 is 128psi!
I’m hoping to keep my 560s ASR. I don’t know if it’s possible, or advisable yet as I’ve read quite a bit of negative stuff about the early ASR. As mine hasn’t worked since I bought the 560SEC, I can’t comment. I’m going to attempt to get it going before I do the motor swap, so I cut down the unknowns.
For my trans cooler, I’m going to use a 928 S4 Porsche trans cooler. It’s about 600-700mm long and about 100mm high. On the S4 they sit at the top/front of the radiator, just above the condenser. I’m doubtful that I’ll be able to fit it there on the 560 but somewhere. The Porsche 928 uses a Mercedes trans.
I’m in the process of remodelling my instrument cluster to the E55 AMG style, with silver background and chrome rings around white faces. It’s looking good with ///AMG V8 KOMPRESSOR and no red line. I have changed the ‘economy’ gauge to ‘Boost’ with a ‘+’ and a ‘-‘ and moved the needle to just hang straight down. As it’s a mechanical gauge, it works fine reading both positive and negative pressure.
Christmas has slowed things down a bit. I had way too much negative camber [2 degrees] on the rear after lowering it with the H&R springs. Made much worse with 285 rear tyres, so I bought a K-MAC Camber kit from Sydney but the wheel alignment shop was too busy to do it before the break. My body shop man wants the rear wheels set up correctly before he finishes the rear guards.
There’s a small bit of rust under the rear window, so that’s coming out and the panel replaced while it’s in the body shop.
It’s all fun!

Sounds like my task has been mirrored "down under". How much fun will that be! Trade you rides!
There is an adjustable pressure regulator that is for power steering. If you need one, I can contact a friend of mine and find out what brand he's using.
I have a Walbro pump I'm going to use on the SEC, along with an Aeromotive pressure regulator. They will have some that will work for the E55.
I'm planning on using some 265x18" tires on the back, maybe some 275's but not much larger. I'm hoping to save the LSD and axles by using some slightly smaller tires.
I have a small tranny cooling radiator and one oil cooling radiator to tuck in the nose somewhere.
Let me know if you need something from here.
Later,
Mike R
