You misunderstood completely :-) .  I was referring to "our" people
(from Indiana).  I was making
a joking commentary of our general times in the world.  You kind of have to have
been there to understand.  There are the FIPS and FIPS (freaking Illinois people
and Freaking Indiana People) Chicago people (being from Illinois) generally were
pushy when they came for their weekend retreats and they thought we were
"primitives".   That was the point of the joke, being that it was
better to be somewhat
polite and "primitive" than to be up-to-date :-)
