[W126 Coupe] Goodyear tires

Frank,

Yes we're still on for Mar. 21-22. at the Mar Vista on Long Boat.
We're going to try both days so that if people can't make it Saturday
they can come Sunday. Or both if they want.

BTW, The last experience I had with Goodyear Eagles was on a BMW. They
didn't last anywhere as long (about 12,000 mi. ) as the Pirelli's I
replaced them with. And their grip wasn't as good, not to mention,
they sucked in the rain.

On the SEC, I originally had Continentals on the stock 15" rims, when
I went to the 17" AMG 3 piece wheels, I used General Exclaim UHPs
(Ultra High Performance) 245/45/17 W rated. I was very pleased with
the wear, ride quality and their grip especially in the rain. With
tires that wide, hydroplaning is a real concern. I've run them on the
interstate at over 100 mph in the rain, and 145 mph on dry pavement.
The price was good as well. I bought 4 for almost what it would've
cost for one Michelin Pilot. I figured that even if they didn't last,
for the price I could replace them and still come out ahead of the
cost of Pilots, which don't last very long either.

Now that the Sec is gone, I've still got the wheels with the Generals
still on them with around 50% tread left.
