[W126 Coupe] Increased Wheel (Rim) Diameters

All this discussion on tires and wheels couldn't be more timely for  me.  Not 
being adventurous, I have planned to switch the 15" wheels on my  '89 560 SEC 
for 16" wheels and 225 rubber.  I would have liked to use an  AMG replica 
wheel which has the correct bold pattern for the 560 but has an  offset of +35.  
I have been wary of using that large of an offset because  of clearances with 
mechanical parts etc.  Am I incorrect because I like the  AMG wheels better 
than the 22 mm offset 8-hole wheels.
