Don't get me wrong, the reason i keep vacillating is just because it  
is the car that it is AND the best looking thing MB ever did.  I just  
cannot work on the car  being without a mechanical bone in my body and  
this is a source of some worry.  In fact I will be talking to a paint  
shop next week and if it could be spruced up for $2K i may go that  
route and keep it, putting the 18's back on.

Anyone know of a reasonably priced tire for staggered18" set up ?  I  
don't push the car hard anymore, have a Lotus Elise for that.
