Graham,

Is this in the wood surround by the climate control?  I will assume yes.
You first need to remove that console to get at the switch from behind.  To
do so, you'll need to remove your ashtray insert, then remove the ashtray
itself (2 screws), then pull out the radio to get at 2 screws at the bottom
of the wood piece, then pull down and out to get the wood piece forward.
Then disconnect all the electrical connections from behind, pull away the
wood piece, replace the switch, and reassemble in reverse.
