[W126 Coupe] 450SLC DOOR CHECKS

What have I missed here? A door check for an SEC used to be a $15 part. Have
the prices gone up that much? $200 for a '79 SLC???

Hi, To Everyone and a Special thanks to Corky Stillwell
    While in the Hospital again my wife used my Euro SLC and although not
her fault on of the door checks broke and she was going to buy a new one and
have my son install so I didn't get upset. My son finally told me and I said
wait till I get out because they were all at the $200.00 price. I got on the
club when I got released and posted for a replacement.
    Corky emailed me and said that he had seen a pair at a junk yard in CA.
and was willing to go get there and take them off and send them to me, 1
almost new, 1 close to new but painted. The best part was the total cost for
everything he did was $55.00. The new one is on and works great, but most of
all THANKS TO CORKY AND THANKS TO THE CLUB for letting myself and others
have friends like this by just owning a car that justifies having a club.
