[W126 Coupe] MBCOUPES Digest, Vol 57, Issue 25

[Doug Gavin]

Hi all, looked at the SEC convertible conversion. The seller was late, did
not stick around after 2 phone calls trying to reach him. Just giving it a
once over outside and through the windows it's obvious that somewhere along
the line owner(s) lost respect for this beautiful vehicle. Lots of small
issues just through neglect and the top had some issue with what looked like
abrasion areas that I'm sure would soon leak. I can';t even imagine the cost
of a custom top for this car. Mt guess overall , just cosmetically probably
$2000 to 3000 and that is guessing a top would be $1500. Did not hear it
run, the interior was dirty but no rips or worn areas I could see If anyone
is interested the car is in Houston on craigslist under Mercedes Benz
collector car.
