I am using Bosch O2 Sensors found at this link
<http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_Oxygen-Sensor-Bosch_3486230-P_291_R|GRPEMISAMS_909569295___>
They are working properly for me. One MB has 30k, another 40k miles and
one other with 70k miles on it with the above sensor in use. My notes
show I purchased the O2 sensor (3-wire) with longer lead (the one in
this link) so I could do the staggered soldered splice with heat shrink
tubing up in the footwell. Can't say if others have issues or if they
fail prematurely as I only have the three MB's running with the above
sensor and my mileage experience is somewhat limited.
You'll need a vacuum gauge with hose and fittings to locate the leak.
There is a link to troubleshooting up on the web somewhere that
illustrates how to isolate the vacuum groups on the MB engine. Perhaps
someone on the list can kick in the link. I think it's Steve
Botherton's(sp).
