Hi Dan,

 I am sure yes.......    The MB CD lists our relay ( N16/4 ) as the " Fuel pump relay with kickdown cut-out "....  It works as such on my car..  I need a new relay.. Cuts off the motor at full chat .. BANG!

The rotor, at least on my US '87 model year ignition rotor doesn't have a spring .. though I am familiar with what you speak of from 60s era Bosch ign. components..
