[W126 Coupe] general speaker question

If you replace the speakers, also replace the unit and switch to 4 ohm.

  i'm just going to replace the speakers 

  and i remember someone posted that the speakers needed to be compatiable with the radio...something about ohms  i.e. mbz radio puts out 2 ohms so the speaker had to be 2 ohm       i'm not sure if that's how i remember it...

  anyone know.
