[W126 Coupe] Strike one up for the SEC

There is room on LI!! You can (or at least could in the 90's) run the
135 @ AM looking for stuff to run.. The Robert Moses etc, etc.. My
biggest gripe up there is the roads aren't exactly what one would call
smooth;-)

Those Honda V 4's were great engines..I'm looking @ the Gen III/IV
VFR's, i.e the last of the gear driven cam engines, once gas hits 4$ a
gallon..

I'm located in Brookhaven and the shop is in Lilburn. Brookhaven in
inside the Perimeter on the NE corner, while lilburn is outside by about
15 miles. Run a bulk of the miles on 85 which late at night affords
itself to high speed runs.
This particular run was around 2 AM, mid week..Worked late and shortly
after merging onto 85 I noted a pair of Xenon's coming up quickly in the
HOV lane. Waited for them to pass and it was a new cheap..I mean C
class cruising about 110. I paced them in the lane next to theirs and
sat about 2 car lengths off their bumper. They picked up the pace and I
matched.... I knew they were limited to 130 so once we made it there I
'walked' up next to them, sat there for about 5-10 seconds and let her
go the rest of the way..:) Would have liked to have heard their
comments on the old 126 leaving them flat.

I vibrated for a good hour after that, but was utterly astounded how
planted/solid the AMG felt..the Aero, suspension etc Really works well
up there!
