[W126 Coupe] SEC Ignition blew up

LOL..

Bypass the ignition by directly connecting the starter to the battery with a
set of wires that mechanics use when they work on your car and don't have an
extra set of hands to turn the ignition. It has a button that you push on
one end and two wires..one to the battery and one to the starter.

Neat little Goody McGafter that I saw at Napa one day and immediately added
to my arsenal of good junk.

...and don't do this under the influence of alcohol or your arse will fly
through the roof when you create monster sparks in your feeble attempts to
blindly connect the wire to the right terminal as you twist your arm in ways
that you never thought possible in a million years as you wind it through
the mesh of wires and manifolds and whatever else the SEC makers put in the
way of your arm. By the way, your arm for some reason will then refuse to
come back from where you so methodically thread it into unless you donate a
half a pint of blood and some knuckle skin to the SEC.

Hein PS I'm not under the influence either on this -17 Celsius Friday night

:-)

Talk about SEC..

Decided it's time after sitting for four years to fire up the SEC, check it
out for a month or so and maybe drive it for the summer.

Turn the key and nothing happens.

Jippo the starter and she fires up right nice.

Time perhaps for a new ignition? Can't see the ignition control module
PMSing..

Any thoughts?

Hein
