[W126 Coupe] interchangeable parts ? anyone know

Chip Fosse and crew seem to only do significant changes to US iron, which almost always have kits available for this kind of thing. Unfortunately, there are NO kits for US iron into Mercedes anything. It turns out that I have to re-invent/invent every single thing needed to put that GM LS6 into the SEC.

If they could do my SEC in a week, THEN I'd believe they're capable of magic. Otherwise, IMHO they generally assemble parts and do nice bodywork.

I do agree that an SEC has some of the best bodywork of any Mercedes, especially anything within the last 50 years (IIRC, the newest 300SL is 51 years old now).

don't know how to tell if its an euro. i will be looking at the car this weekend, what should i look for?

really just wanting a cheap parts car since mine is now 20 yrs olds and over 200k...just figure things may start breaking or falling off. it may be i keep the one have and purchase another one with less mileage.

because the car has the best body styling i would ideally like to americanize the whole powertrain. that would be my project car. i imagine it would take a long time.
