Haven't figured my mileage yet, but the Miami to Sarasota in under 3 included dealing with Miami rush hour traffic (I left Miami Beach hotel at 5:20p on Wed.)and a fuel stop before getting on Alligator Alley/I-75. Home at 7:55p. Average almost 83mph. Had a nice run across Alligator Alley with a new S63 until he got off in Naples.
The trip from Ft.Stewart to Sarasota Saturday started at 4:45p, included a fuel stop at the start (off base), major construction delay around Jacksonville (I-95), lost around a half hour, then onto I-10 west before getting off at US301 south. Stopped for fuel top-off and McDonalds at the first town. Then to Gainsville to pick up I-75 south to home.
Average 63 mph including stops.

Yep. I run 41.5 -42.0 front and 40 rear. Made two trips with it this past week... Sarasota, FL to Miami and back (232 miles each way in under 3 hrs. Then Sarasota, north to Ft. Stewart, Ga. (near Savannah) 378 miles each way in 6 hrs.
High speed rated tires + radar detector + 560 SEC = GREAT FUN!!!

John,
Just an F.Y.I. I am on my 3rd set of tires with your same set up 8.5 X ET17s / 245/45/17 Y
My first two sets got real bad milage, as my pressure was kept at 32-33. The current set is
Been run at 40 lbs. and I am going to get 35 to 40 K on them. I personnel did not like 16s or 18s

I don`t know about the ET30 rims but the 8.5 x 17 ET18s are perfect for the front of our W126s or the R129 SLs, I imagine they would fit on the back axle however the correct 10 x 17 ET17s look meatier/better, plus one has an extra 3 inches of tyre to play with :-)
All the best, John Poole `91 560 SEC
