Hello Bill,
Yes, All M116/117's need the same looking after in regards to the timing
chain/tensioner/guide rails/oil line clips. Aside from getting the job
done it is of Utmost importance to use Genuine guides as well as a
Genuine tensioner.
15/40 is good, you may find 20/50 even better. For off the shelf oil
that still meets the needs of our engines (re, zinc/phosphate etc..)
I've been using Valvoline Racing 20/50.
Shrouding is what happens when you have Large amounts of deposits
forming on your spark plugs..to the point where they cover the electrode
and form an actual cover/shroud over the tip.
