[W126 Coupe] spark plugs

Jonathan,

At what mileage or kilometer reading should one choose NGK BP5ES (for tired valve guides) ?? My 85 500 SEC euro is starting to puff smoke (1 or 2 seconds) at startup, when sitting overnight only.
