Kelly,
No to the dealer. Find a reputable independent. If you want someone to really give things a going over and look under the covers for any other surprises, I'd drive that baby up to Jonathan's shop and leave it there for a while. I wish that guy lived closer as it's clear he cuts no corners and does a superb job on these MB's.
Just a thought. I probably sound like the chorus for that guy but, hey I've gutted and totally renovated several MB's now using him as a supply source and as a technical source. I still have all my hair and several beautiful MB's as a result.

Kelly,
If you need any wiring let me know. I have an 88 SEC gutted right now, and I mean gutted. Not much left inside, mostly wires at this point!

Yes you are right it was a flood car many years ago and I knew this when I
bought the car for $2400 and I now have about $13,000 into it too late to
turn back now. Hey it looks good

Kelly,
Was this car flooded at any point? Or was it a dead short in the
harness somewhere? Are those rear seats heated? BTW, my questions and
perhaps answers will become less helpful as i complete my second pint of
Killian's. I've a sutures mending on two locations and I'm not one for
pain pills you see.
The Boston Celtics have played some good basketball for you sports fans
out there.
