The last I heard here, the conversions are not being encouraged, and the
fuel cost ends up about the same per mile, with the added cost of a
conversion kit.
Reading on autospeed.com (an Australian online car magazine) they have
cost subsidies to convert to LNG/CNG fuel systems on cars, but even
there, the fuel BTU density has to be taken into account.
