Thanks for the info, are you interested in selling the Gen 2 bumpers, is that a front and rear? If so what are you looking at as far as a price? And any thoughts on where I could acquire the side peaces?

Then there is euro vs. US.

US bumpers stick out further than euro bumpers, by about 2-3 inches each bumper.

I don't believe there is any difference in US gen1 or US gen2 bumpers, but I'm not positive.  There is a difference in the lower cladding under the doors, etc (ribbed vs. smooth).

For euro, there is a difference in gen1 vs. gen2 bumpers.  I have a set of gen1 euro bumpers (not installed) and 2 sets of gen2 euro bumpers.  The gen2 bumpers, especially in the rear, sit lower and hide more of the spare tire well.  The chrome is also "thicker" or "wider" for gen2 vs. gen1, I laid them side by side.  Gen1 euro bumpers with no AMG or other bits doesn't look that great in the back, in my opinion.  Front is not much difference gen1 to gen2.

If you want to get spoilers, AMG bits, Lorinser bits, etc, you need to get them for the right bumpers.  You can't put euro parts on US bumpers and vice versa.  And if you get euro bumpers, you have to make sure you get the right matching bits.

Plus, while there is NO difference in rear bumpers between sedans and coupes, there IS a difference in front bumpers.  The SEC has the foglights in the bumpers, not in the lights like sedans.  You can use a SEC bumper on a sedan IF you get the correct chrome piece, ie sedan chrome strip under the grille instead of SEC chrome strip.  That is, unless you are switching your whole front end to an SEC front end which is way more parts, work, etc.

GEN 1 is pre 1985, however there are a lot of differences from Euro and US Spec... someone else will need to advise whether the Gen 1 Euro Valance will fit.

For the part I want 250 GBP which is around 480-500$ and not sure what shipping would be, id need to get a quote from fedex..

Those are going to be Hard digs...especially Gen II US bits...   There was a fellow reproducing them in the UK, but those are set up for Euro bumpers and thus won't fit.  Your best bet is keeping an eye out for used...  I've found 1 US Gen II kit in 6 years of searching.  You would stand a better chance of looking for a Gen I car/kit as they come up w/ more regularity.

If you manage to find NOS pieces expect to pay handily for them!  A gen I euro front valence brought about 800 recently on ebay.
